How GLP-1 Changed the Game

Something I keep noticing in the wellness space: GLP-1 drugs quietly reshaped an entire industry's marketing playbook.
Weight loss clinics and fitness studios that used to have waitlists have gone quiet. Not because their programs got worse — Mounjaro and Ozempic just became the faster answer to the question these businesses used to own.
People didn't stop wanting help with their health. The starting point moved. If your marketing still answers the old question, you're invisible to people asking the new one.

Here's what I'd try if I ran marketing for one of these businesses:
→ Stop selling "weight loss." Sell what GLP-1s can't do — muscle retention, long-term maintenance, real support.
→ Chase the new search terms. "How to stop losing muscle on Ozempic" barely has content yet. Easy win.
→ Partner with prescribers. They have the patients, you have the fitness and nutrition piece. Easy referral pipeline.
→ Re-engage lapsed clients. A short, honest email beats another ad to cold strangers.
→ Let real clients tell the story. Someone on your program and a prescription is far more convincing than a generic before/after.
Markets shift fast. Marketing has to shift with them — or you get left behind.
